Not Just Flowers
Did you know that the 2009 Southeastern Flower Show isn’t only about flowers? Sure, you might think so, given the name. But with all the great demos and exhibits and speakers being planned for you, fellow gardeners, you’ll find that the show isn’t limited to blooms and blossoms and petals. You’ll find something to appeal to every kind of green thumb.
Take Mrs. Greenthumb, for instance. Daryl Pulis—aka Mrs. Greenthumb—is a master gardener who fell in love with plants around age 2, when she began talking to them. Now, now…no laughing. She’s been talking about her plants ever since, as a popular speaker across the South; as a gardening expert on WMLB radio; and as a contributor to the “Green Thumb Garden Tip of the Week” segment on News Channel 4. Today she is also a featured landscape designer on the HGTV show, “Landscape Solutions.”
And guess where this garden guru will be next January? You’ve got it. On Friday, Jan. 30, she’ll discuss “Vegetable Container Gardens” at the 2009 show. So now you know why the show is more than “just” flowers!

After you hear from Mrs. Greenthumb, you might start chatting up your own eggplants and cucumbers. (It’s okay. We won’t tell.)
cheers,
Lynn
